How Can You Tell Acrylic Knobs from Glass Knobs?Īt a glance, acrylic knobs look like glass knobs. Some glass cabinet knobs utilize a ferrule mount instead of a bolt. Depending on the thickness of the cabinet, the bolt may protrude, requiring that you trim it. They are usually mounted on the base with a bolt that runs through the cabinet and secured with a bolt in the rear. However, the exact type of metal varies from one knob to another, with the most common ones being brass, bronze, nickel, oil and gold and all their finishes, e.g., oil-rubbed bronze, satin, polished, brushed, etc.

MiniQLĪ small Quake launcher that provides an easy front-end to running any user map or original map by scanning Quake and mod archive files (PAK files) and displaying all maps to select from. Please note that under OS X and Linux, many older maps will need manual editing of their filenames because the original files contained mixed case or upper case letters. Quake Injector however does not provide access to every map released for Quake (it has no support for multiplayer maps, for example, unless they come as part of a singleplayer map pack or they are singleplayer maps in addition to multiplayer), but it is very close to that and provides an easy method to try new maps and mods. Also it can (with varying levels of success) find out if there are known maps already installed. It provides the ability to install and uninstall maps and mods (with their requirements/dependencies) from the site directly on Quake with a single click and includes information about each mod, such as release data, rating (from the Quaddicted editor), title, authors, a brief description (from the editor) and screenshots. It includes the Darkplaces source port along with the missing soundtrack.Īn alternative patch to the above that aims to fix compatibility issues with GLQuake and WinQuake through dgVoodoo 2, restores the missing in-game soundtrack in MP3 format while using a modified version of winmm.dll for proper music looping, custom autoexec.cfg files to enable mouselook and crosshairs, and includes QWSVLaunch and Simple Quake Launcher to ease launching the game.Ī Java-based client for the Quaddicted single player map and mod database that runs on Windows, OS X and Linux. It's designed only for the Steam version but is also compatible with retail versions by changing the install path of the mod. This patch fixed numerous compatibility issues found with the game. For further tests, you’ll have to pay extra, but can be helpful if you’re suspecting that the home has underlying problems. Home inspections in Utah will cost you around $200 to $400, and generally include plumbing, electrical, roofing and basement inspections. It’s your chance to find out the condition of the home before you occupy it, and can save you money in the long run if underlying problems are found (and can be mitigated or negotiated) before you occupy the property. While home inspections aren’t mandatory, they are highly recommended and are beneficial to you as the buyer. Costs to Expect When Buying a Home in UtahĪ one-time cost you’ll have to add to your expected home-buying budget is a home inspection. You have to purchase a separate policy, which you can find on through Utah insurance agencies selling National Flood Insurance Program policies. Unfortunately, most homeowners policies exclude flood damage coverage. Some areas in Utah experience a monsoon period during the summer and fall, which means seasonal flash flooding. However, you might still want to look into additional coverage for flood damage. Luckily, you won’t have to worry about hurricanes or coastal erosion in this landlocked state. The average homeowner pays just $1,382 per year in homeowners insurance, according to recent data from. Only Vermont, California and Hawaii have cheaper rates. It’s one of the five lowest in the nation in terms of average insurance premiums. Utah, just like with property taxes, is a relative bargain for property owners. In addition to the automatic 45% exemption, homeowners who are low income, disabled veterans, blind or active service members serving outside the state may qualify for further property tax exemptions.Īnother cost you’re responsible for is homeowners insurance. Within your county, there are different levels of government that also have the authority to level taxes, such as cities, school districts and water districts. This determines the market value of your home, which is what your tax rate is based on. You home is appraised by a county assessor at least every five years. Most property taxes in Utah are set at the county level. Homeowners are only taxed on 45% of their home’s assessed value as long as the property they claim is their primary residence. However, your primary residence must be in the state for you to access those low rates. The good news for homeowners is that Utah’s property taxes are among the lowest in the country, with an average effective property tax rate of just 0.52%. However, I recently visited Glacier National Park ( a few hour’s drive from Yellowstone). Yes, this blog is primarily about Yellowstone National Park. The legend goes that, in ‘87, Eazy bailed Dre out of jail in exchange for his production services. When Eazy got the itch to form his own record label-and, shortly after, to become one of its flagship artists-he knew he needed a producer to serve as its musical backbone. It was also at Eve’s that the DJs formed an alliance with Ice Cube. The Wreckin’ Cru ran the gamut from R&B to electro, and served as a proving ground for Yella and Dre to hone their skills on the decks and to learn to manipulate crowds. The creative underpinnings of N.W.A can be traced back to Eve’s After Dark, the nightclub on Avalon Blvd that spawned the World Class Wreckin’ Cru, a DJ crew that included Yella and Dre. In the 50s and early ‘60s, Compton was a desirable suburb for black Angelenos by the ‘80s, when Dre, Eazy, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella (and founding member Arabian Prince) were coming of age, it was decaying and over-policed.Īs has been the case across cultures and eras, this brutal hardship spawned brilliant music-but at first, very little of it was street rap. Kendrick Lamar, the most critically celebrated artist of this decade, was able to use the city’s name as shorthand for an entire lineage that rap fans have internalized. Today, the mere mention of Compton carries staggering moral and narrative weight in hip-hop. But it’s just as fascinating when read as an act of synthesis. Straight Outta Compton is easily reduced into a couple of key mission statements, sure- fuck the police jumps to mind. It was also the product of bold, brazen boardroom maneuvering, and of glossy, decidedly grown-up disco clubs. What Eazy was forgetting (or conveniently omitting) is that that had always been the group’s strength: N.W.A wasn’t just the product of America’s malignant racism and California’s craven justice system. Dre diss from 1993 –– the group’s founder was mocking its producer for having adopted N.W.A’s ruthless, relentless street image relatively late in life. When one of those intrasquad feuds reached a fever pitch-with “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s,” Eazy-E’s scorched-Earth Dr. Yet while Straight Outta Compton has been accurately placed in hip-hop history (and in the flow chart of American pop culture at the end of the 80s), it’s never been properly understood as an inflection point in the musical history of Los Angeles County. If not local pick up, then buyer pays shipping. If you want I’ll throw in a pair of SPD pedals, size 10 Shimano shoe with cleats (in great shape), and/or size 9 shoe with cleats (in poor shape), I can also throw in the steel ridged fork that was originally on the bike. The sale WILL include a brand new Continental X King 2.4 tire. Sale does NOT include the flat pedals pictured. 720mm Bontrager Race lite bar, Bontrager rhythm pro 90mm stem, cane creek head set, Thompson seat post, old seat that fits my butt. However, I do know that neither rim is tubeless ready but I have successfully run this bike tubeless with a conversion kit and tubless-specific tires. I don’t know much about the rims and hubs as that was one part of the bike I personally didn’t do too much with. The fork is currently set at 120mm of travel but can be reduced down to 100. The Fork is a RockShox Reba dual air with rebound adjustment and lockout. Brakes are mechanical BB7s, the best and easiest to adjust mechanical brakes out there. A new cassette, front cog, derailleur pulleys, and chain were put on in the winter of 2014. The drive train is new-ish and only has one summer of weekend warrior riding on it. The drive train is set up as 1x9 but could be converted to single speed if you’re a beast. The frame has some paint chipping off here and there but functions just fine. I think it’s a size Med., probably best for riders 5’8’’ – 6’0’’. I have really enjoyed riding this bike, it climbs like a goat, rolls over gnar with its big tires, rides great for long distances, and is fun and quick on the down. This bike is SUPER FUN! If you’ve never ridden a steel hardtail 29er, you’re seriously missing out on some great things that mountain biking has to offer. This is a steel frame Monocog Flight 29er from Redline. All the fun of a single-speed, but you have bigger gears available so you are not just twiddling your thumbs on flats. The 32-hole hub was. This fun to ride MTB is a 2007 Redline Monocog Flight 29er single-speed where I installed a Shimano Nexus Inter3 internally geared hub to give me 3 gears.
Luther is speaking to Eddie and tells him about the bat, Eddie offers him a lift and Luther rings the crew to explain he will be late. Comment is made that the Gecko’s killed his father and James Park is the son of Michael Parks who played Earl. Incidentally we know this is a sequel when we briefly, later, meet Deputy McGraw (James Park) the son of Texas Ranger Earl McGraw. Yet behind the bar is Danny Trejo, Razor Charlie from the first film – or is he? Razor Charlie was killed in the first film and the character is credited as Razor Eddie, so I guess that this is Charlie’s identical twin brother who has the same tattoos. The internal décor is different and we wonder if this is problematic, given that this is a sequel it could have been refurbished following Seth Gecko’s escape. He sets off walking and reaches the Titty Twister. He lifts the lid and the bat rears out of the machinery – he shoots it but the car is going nowhere. He gets out the car and realises that it has gone through into the engine. Luther is driving along when a bat smashes into his fender. Their discussion should be entertaining, and the scriptwriters have tried to make a Tarantino style dialogue but the dialogue just isn’t that well written when compared to the material that Tarantino writes. As they watch the porn we see the problem with the scripting. The next day they head to Mexico and end up in a motel watching porn and waiting for Luther. The crew are made up of safe cracker and rodeo clown CW (Muse Watson), pit dog trainer Jesus (Raymond Cruz) and dim-witted security guard Ray Bob (Brett Harrelson). He has a job lined up, robbing 5 million in drugs money from a Mexican bank, and tells Buck to get a crew together and meet him over the border. As Otis leaves he receives a phone call from Luther. Otis turns up on Buck’s doorstop, without a warrant, asking where Luther is but Buck is tight lipped. Sheriff Otis Lawson (Bo Hopkins) is pursuing him. He fiddles with the TV, his girlfriend makes some comment about that is what happens when you steal cable, and gets the news which mentions an eclipse which is due and then that a bank robber, Luther (Duane Whitaker), has escaped. The film was being watched by Buck (Robert Patrick). However, we mainly see rapid flapping and they don’t look to bad when that occurs. They are not exactly the best bat effects in the world, especially when seen close up. The lift plummets and bats stream out of the smashed doors and… The cable TV goes.Ī note about the bats, which are used often through the film. He falls back through and the bats attack his female companion and also bite through the cables. Barry takes the dead man’s flashlight and climbs up the hatch only to be attacked by a flock of bats. Barry opens the lift hatch and the mangled body of a maintenance man falls through. The film’s beginning is interesting, a pair of attorneys, one of whom is played by the legendary Bruce Campbell (playing Barry), are defending a serial killer. That is not to say that it doesn’t have its moments but, as a sequel, it was always doomed to comparison. Like the first film it tried to combine vampire horror with crime drama – unfortunately it had neither the cast, script or effects of the first film to carry it. As a straight to video release this film was always going to have its work cut out when competing with From Dusk Till Dawn.
